Dr Senai Demirci
Psychotherapist / Mesnevi Therapy Instructor
He was born on 11 November 1963 in Samsun. His youth was spent looking for answers to difficult questions. Then he learnt to ask the questions of difficult answers. He did not like easy answers. He worked as a shoemaker apprentice. He polished a lot of shoes. He shepherded cows in the mountains. He chatted with ants, listened to cicadas, accompanied the gurgling of streams, climbed cherry trees, searched for and found non-poisonous mushrooms.
He grew up without a mother. He loved the hurt ones very much. He read writers whose ink flowed from his heart. He would fall asleep while reading Kemalettin Tuğcu. He kept his promise to his grandmothers who said “You will be a doctor!”. When he was a student at the Faculty of Medicine, he realised that the easiest pain to bear was someone else’s pain. When he found the pain of others unbearable, he learnt that he would become human. While memorising bones and muscles and walking the paths of the heart and blood vessels, he tried to listen to the dim labyrinths of the human soul. He began to write. His ideal was to become a writer. He accumulated syllables in order to take the words to heart, to break the ordinariness of the visible.
She realised that the depths of human beings are beautiful, albeit fearful. He still works as a psychotherapist. He tries to learn the sum total of human inner pain. He prefers to be a novice and an amateur in the face of life and human beings. He likes to stand at the knee of each poem and ask for its memory.
