Dr Abdurrahman Kendirci

She graduated from Ondokuz Mayıs University, Department of Guidance and Psychological Counselling in 2004, and completed her master’s degree in Gaziosmanpaşa University, Department of Guidance and Psychological Counselling on “Anger and Violence between Spouses”. In the same university, he completed his doctoral thesis titled “Investigation of the Effect of Psychoeducation Programme Based on Positive Psychology Based Mesnevi Stories on Marital Adjustment” and received the title of doctor.

After his graduation, Dr. Abdurrahman KENDİRCİ worked as an expert psychological counsellor & child, adolescent and family therapist in primary and secondary school institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, psychological counselling centres and hospitals. He also worked as an instructor in the “Personal Development and Leadership School” trainings for university students of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Credit and Dormitories Institution. In her 14 years of professional life, she has given trainings and seminars to many institutions, met with hundreds of young people, and conducted hundreds of hours of psychological counselling sessions by adding certified trainings that will improve and renew herself to her postgraduate education.

He also informed parents by making programmes on children and family issues on local television in 2005, 2009 and 2010. He has also lived poetry as a love since his childhood and made radio and television programmes called “Bir Leyla Günlüğü” and “Gündoğmadan” as a hobby. Dr.Abdurrahman KENDİRCİ, who is married and father of 2 children, believes that psychological counselling and psychotherapy add meaning to human existence, acting with the approach of “Man is the medicine of man” and for this purpose, he focused on “Positive Psychology”, which eliminates a very important deficiency in psychotherapy. She established the Positive Psychology Institute on 10 October 2018 World Mental Health Day to develop Positive Psychological Counselling and continues her professional life in Istanbul within the Positive Psychology Institute. In addition, he teaches as a lecturer at some foundation universities in Istanbul.
